What you get is not what you see, comes to mind. The idea was to paint an image, that would somehow faintly evoke an emotional impression of a submarine, rather than obviously be one.

The work is inspired by the graphic mass media reportage about the murder of the Swedish Journalist Kim Wall, by the Danish entrepreneur Peter Madsen.

It reflects on how we, in times of mass media, receive news, in which amount and detail and how we try to cope with that overflow of hardcore facts of life.
